UC Scientists

Yesterday we had some scientists from the university come in and do some experiments. We learnt about carbon dioxide, ice and how different materials react differently together. At the end we all got to make goo. We mixed two materials together to create it. Yesterday 

 was really amazing and lots of us now want to be scientists when we are older. 

Inquiry Term 2

We have had a science focus this term and have been learning about what the words fizz,bomb, bang,whizz and pop mean. To begin with we did different experiments and tried to match the above words to the experiments. Over the past few weeks we have learnt about heat energy- we dehydrated fruit and wind energy- we made fans and windmills.

Discovery Time Term 2

In discovery this term we have been being creative with boxes, blocks, chalk and beads to name a few things. We have been working on taking risks and using our own ideas to create something new.
