Burnside's Got Talent and Fish and Chip Lunch Day

Well done to Jonny, Jahmayne, Mizuki and Upashna who made it into the finals for Burnside's Got Talent. You all did a fantastic job and we were very proud of you!!!

Piwakawaka Celebration Afternoon

On Tuesday we had our celebration afternoon as a reward for all of our hard work this term. It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed having a chance to be outside in the sunshine. The scooter circuit was very popular and we needed lots of water breaks on such a warm day.

Discovery Time

Here are some photos from Discovery Time this week. We were learning how to use money in a 'shop'. All customers were given $6 and they were able to spend it on any food they wanted. They had to make sure that they didn't spend over their $6 or else they had to put items back. It was a great activity to practise handling money and receiving change.

New Inquiry

Today we started our new inquiry during investigations. We started off learning about the elections then next term we will learn about the Earth, the planets and the weather. 

We learnt how to vote today. We had our own easy vote card and had 2 choices for the cafe at Discovery Time to make a choice from- cheesy rolls or fruit salad. Then we had to go into a voting centre in Room 1 to get our voting paper. After that we went into a booth to cast our vote. The winner was cheesy rolls! 

Father's Day

We had a fantastic morning on Friday with our wonderful guests! Thank you to everyone for attending, especially those who had to get leave from work or change other commitments.  We loved having you there!
